Can I buy a fishing / hunting license at Alaska West Air?
Yes, we sell fishing and hunting licenses. We also sell King Stamps, Duck Stamps and big game tags, BUT we get a limited supply of these, and sometimes run out, so please check with us before you come out for your trip. If we are out, you can buy them in Kenai or Soldotna.
Do I need hip boots/ chest waders?
On most of our trips you do need hip boots or chest waders. We always recommend that you use your own if you have them. We do have a limited number of pairs of hip boots to loan, but can’t guarantee the correct size will be available for everyone.
Do I need to bring fishing gear?
Our guides provided spinning gear with tackle appropriate to the fishery, and bait where allow. If you are a fly fisher, let us know ahead of time and we will suggest some flies, and the guide will have a few flies available also.
Is lunch included?
Lunch is not included in our prices. You can order a shore lunch on most of our trips for an additional $20.00 pp. The guide will cook one of your fish and provide all the trimmings for a real treat. You are welcome to bring your own lunch and beverages of your choice.
Cancellation policy:
If you cancel your trip 60 or more days prior to your departure date, you will receive a refund in the amount of your deposit, less a 10% processing fee. If you cancel your trip 59 days or less prior to your date, there is no refund. If you do not show up on the date of the booking without canceling, the full amount of the trip booked is due. If we cancel your trip due to weather or a mechanical problem, and you cannot reschedule, you will receive a full refund.
